Quick Start
This tool helps you analyze TDOT pay item price trends across different regions and years. Here's how to get started:
- Use the search bar to find specific pay items by number or description
- Select a pay item from the dropdown menu
- The chart will automatically display price trends from 2000 to 2028
Chart Features
- Region Selection: Toggle different regions on/off to compare prices across Tennessee
- Trend Lines: Choose from multiple trend line types:
- Linear: Shows straight-line price trends
- Exponential: Better for prices that change at an increasing rate
- Polynomial: Captures more complex price patterns
- Moving Average: Smooths out short-term fluctuations
- Chart Types: Switch between line and bar charts for different visualizations
Advanced Analysis
- Price Predictions: Enable to see projected future prices based on historical trends
- Regional Differentials: View price differences between regions as percentages
- Historical Data: Check "Show Old Items" to include items not used since 2020
Export Options
- CSV Export: Download raw price data for further analysis
- PDF Report: Generate a comprehensive report including:
- Current prices and historical trends
- Price volatility analysis
- Regional price comparisons
- Future price projections

- Use dark mode for better visibility in low-light conditions
